Ship fuel services - Fuel verification

VeriFuel is a new Bureau Veritas test program designed for today's marine industry that will set the future benchmark for marine fuel testing. Developed by a team of industry experts, both from the users and suppliers of the sampled market, the program was designed to address the challenges faced by ship operators in the current complex environment.

Bureau Veritas can provide bunker fuel quantity studies worldwide by IFIA / Energy Institute (formerly IP) certified inspectors operating under a certified quality system. Our expertise and integrity help us get the right amount of fuel, avoiding shortages and claims. This can be achieved through our pre-delivery quality tests (complete or key) of the fuel that take place at the supplier's premises.

Oil condition monitoring (OCM)

Bureau Veritas operates OCM laboratories worldwide. Our test slates identify wear and contamination trends and identify changes in the physical properties of lubricants, fuels and coolants to improve equipment reliability.

A global reporting platform is available, which will help our clients to manage their assets in a consistent way, compare their performance and monitor proactive and corrective actions. The value we place on our clients is not only to provide them with figures, but also to give them meaning, clarify complexity and provide them with recommendations that will save you money.

Outsourcing of laboratories

Bureau Veritas has carried out numerous laboratory outsourcing projects worldwide on behalf of major global oil and gas groups.

Outsourcing the operation of your facilities to Bureau Veritas can significantly reduce operating and capital costs. We will help you improve your quality control by implementing rigorous audit programs and using the resources available within our broader laboratory network, such as compliance and quality management.

In addition, outsourcing the laboratory can lead to increased investments in new technologies, which reduces turnaround times and costs per unit of analysis.

Fuel quality monitoring in distribution networks and ground transportation loss control services

Bureau Veritas provides fuel sampling and testing services dedicated to distribution station networks and storage facility networks to ensure that fuels always meet market specifications up to the very end of the supply chain.

Controlling losses in a land transport environment as is generally the case in Africa is a key issue for marketing organizations. The determination of the quantity loaded into tank trucks or tank cars at a specific standard temperature, comparison with the quantity unloaded, loss control investigations, electronic sealing of valves and hatches are regularly carried out by Bureau Veritas to ensure that our customer's business remains profitable.
